Any spare space along the river banks has been cultivated with fruit trees
2:30pm we pull into Beijing to end our wonderful train trip. Total distance travelled on the train 7,595 km on Russian, Mongolian and Chinese trains.
The train station is packed!! Taxi ques about 1.5 to 2 hours long.
Stuff it, we know we are going to be ripped off but we go with a touter and 15 minutes later we are at our hotel.
Tonight we meet a friend from Australia who is an English teacher has been living Beijing a number of years. She took us to a small local restaurant for authentic Peking Duck.
