Our hotel is really good with a great view of a park from our window.
So we head off to explore the city. It is a strange city in many buildings are obviously typical Russian but then you go around a corner and it feels Eastern then another corner and it has a western feel to it. But a fun walk anyway.
In the afternoon we go into one of the suburbs, Irkutsk is know for its wooden houses which were plentiful. We were surprised they were never destroyed by fire over the years.
Dinner time and enough of authentic food. We found an English restaurant which was just what the doctor ordered. Complete with an English guard with a big boof head at the door.
